DO NOT use it to solve your state.

- Reach out to someone: Getting support by reaching out is one of the best things to do when dealing with Depression. At times, people who feel Depressed choose to remain quiet and isolated. Doing so makes that person feel alone and causes their state of Depression. PLEASE talk to someone.
- Do things that make you feel happy: Get a hobby, read or write, or even take a trip with some friends. Expressing yourself through arts (whether art or literature) and staying close to those around you help keep you away from thinking on your own, feeling tired or helpless, and even lonely
- Make lifestyle changes that help eliminate Depression. Stay away from unnecessary and avoidable stressors.
- (For those that enjoy exercise): Exercise is another way to help. There are many ways it helps Depression. Two ways are: Keeping yourself moving will improve you fatigue over time and running or walking with a dog (if you don't have a dog you could always choose to walk dogs for neighbors or care for dogs at a shelter).
- Challenge you negative thinking: Do you feel powerless or hopeless? Do you feel less than confident? You are feeling all of this because of Depression. Telling yourself it isn't really what you are thinking or thinking of positive things about yourself or the situation ALWAYS help Depression.
- Write A journal: It is truly great self therapy to keep a journal. A private journal is a place for you to open up about your own thoughts, feelings, and concerns and even be completely honest about it.
- Maintain a daily routine. Having a routine gets rid of those feelings of unproductivity.
- Maintain a healthy sleep schedule. Wake up and go to bed at good time. Feeling exhausted will only make it difficult to be social, active and create more stress.
